CleanR Board joined by Santa Sīpola

To streamline the CleanR Grupa corporate governance model, the Group’s Council has appointed Santa Sīpola as a Board Member of CleanR, a group subsidiary company.   Sīpola will take up her duties on 21 November, overseeing the financial, IT, and administrative support areas.

“Last year, CleanR underwent a number of changes—several environmental services functions were separated from the company, which this year already operate as autonomous, self-contained group subsidiaries. In the coming years, CleanR is planning to develop new, innovative services, digitize processes, and focus on integrating sustainable solutions into the company’s daily processes.  Therefore, I am truly pleased to see the company’s management team develop, which will allow us to grow further and lead in the field of waste management in Latvia,” states Valerijs Stankevičs, Chairman of the Board at CleanR.

Santa Sīpola boasts 12 years of experience in the field of financial management, having worked for Swedbank Baltics AS as a Performance Manager for the Baltics and CircleK Latvia, where she was in charge of financial management and control.   Sīpola has also overseen the budgeting and investment area of Asos Plc, an e-commerce firm, in Great Britain.

As Sīpola joins the CleanR management team, it is left by Guntars Levics, a long-standing Member of the Board of CleanR, who will continue fulfilling his professional duties on the board of the parent company CleanR Grupa, where he has held a seat since February 2022.

The Group initiated structural changes already in 2021, paying special attention to the strengthening of the Group’s corporate governance model and introduction of sustainable solutions into the Group’s daily management. Starting 2023, CleanR Grupa runs its key operations in two business directions—waste management and provision of environmental services.
