Zaļā josta Board joined by Guntars Levics

To streamline the CleanR Grupa corporate governance model and enhance the efficiency of its extended producer responsibility (EPR) system provider Zaļā josta, the company’s board is joined by Guntars Levics, a seasoned professional in the waste management business. Levics will also continue performing his member of the board duties at CleanR Grupa.

Zaļā josta is an EPR system provider which takes care of packaging waste, environmentally hazardous goods, electric and electronic appliances, providing companies with an opportunity to obtain a 100% Natural Resource Tax exemption and making sure that the waste generated by their economic activity is collected and recycled. To improve its development strategy, in 2022, CleanR Grupa, as a company shaping Latvia’s circular economy, concluded a deal, acquiring a majority stake in Zaļā josta.

The Zaļā josta shareholders include AS CleanR Grupa (55%) and AS BAO (45%).
