CleanR Grupa continues to grow by investing in efficiency and technologies

In the first six months of 2026, AS CleanR Grupa maintained a steady growth rate: consolidated turnover reached 77.6 million euros, up 9 million euros, or 13%, compared to the same period last year, the company reported.

In the reporting period, EBITDA reached 16.1 million euros, up 0.3 million euros from 15.9 million euros a year earlier. The Group continued to increase gross profit in the first half of 2026, up EUR 1.5 million to EUR 16.5 million. At the same time, gross profit profitability was slightly reduced (by 0.6 percentage points to 21%) due to the increase in fuel costs, which was affected by higher and more volatile fuel market prices in the first half of 2026.

“In the first half of 2026, the Group’s investments reached 5.4 million euros. The largest part of the investments was directed to the renewal of the fleet and specialized equipment – 1.4 million euros, or 26% of the total investment volume, was invested in the purchase and repair of vehicles, while 1.2 million euros were invested in the purchase and modernization of machinery and equipment,” says Juris Gulbis, Chairman of the Management Board of AS CleanR Grupa.

The investments also included purchasing compressed natural gas-powered waste extractors, front-end loaders, and production equipment. 0.7 million euros were invested in developing waste container infrastructure.

“2026 for the CleanR Grupa began with joining the Nasdaq Baltic regulated market – bonds worth 15 million euros were issued in February. In the first half of the year, the Group also continued to expand its operations in the environmental services segment, invest in technologies and efficiency, and develop circular economy solutions. Growth was also driven by the acquisition of the waste management company Ķilupe and the expansion of operations in the regions,” says Gulbis.

After receiving permission from the Competition Council, the waste management company CleanR became the sole owner of SIA Ķilupe, which continues to operate as a subsidiary of CleanR, maintaining the local management model. The transaction expands the Group’s operations in the Ogre and Aizkraukle regions and other local territories. At the same time, CleanR supplemented its fleet with a dual-fraction waste collector, allowing it to collect two types of waste in one trip, optimizing routes and reducing transport consumption.

Meanwhile, the regional waste management company Vides pakalpojumu grupa expanded its operations, starting to provide services in Nīca parish and part of Saldus municipality. A new sorted waste collection site and customer service center have also been opened in Saldus.

CleanR Industry doubled the volume of unsorted waste processed at the Ķilupe center in the first six months of this year, increasing sorting and material recovery capabilities. In turn, the plastic recycling plant Gurnicas expanded its product range, starting to also produce LDPE granules for the production of polyethylene films.

Hazardous waste management company Lautus increased healthcare waste management volumes by 30% in the first half of the year, continuing to develop hazardous waste management services.

Zaļā josta began cooperation with the global e-commerce platform Temu on April 1, ensuring compliance with Latvia’s requirements for packaging and electrical and electronic equipment waste. From July 1, cooperation has also been expanded to include the management of textile products.

Growth has also been experienced in the environmental maintenance segment. Theurban environment maintenance company Vizii Urban expanded its use of innovative solutions: it introduced a digital route-planning system and began industrial-scale testing of lawn-mowing robots in several territories. Meanwhile, Vizii Urban subsidiary KOM-Auto repeatedly obtained the right to provide technical and seasonal maintenance of streets, roads, and squares in the city of Cēsis for the next five years.

The premises cleaning company Vizii consistently improved its technology-based solutions. The company’s robotic equipment fleet now includes approximately 170 robots, which can be centrally monitored in real time. During the reporting period, general cleaning of 13 University of Latvia facilities covering more than 70,000 square meters was launched.

The Group also took significant steps in corporate governance. In the first half of 2026, CleanR Grupa published its fourth consolidated non-financial report for 2025. In 2025, the Group’s companies managed more than 730 thousand tons of waste, of which only 4% was landfilled. With the growing adoption of circular economy principles and increased recycling capacity, GHG emissions intensity relative to the Group’s turnover has decreased by 10%.
