Construction waste sorting center “Nomales” to partially resume operations from May 8; Ropaži municipality apologizes for incorrect information
On Friday, May 8, the construction waste sorting and recycling center “Nomales”, managed by the AS CleanR Grupa subsidiary CleanR Verso, will partially resume operations, beginning to accept construction waste from legal clients. CleanR Verso will inform separately about the center’s availability to private individuals.
“We are currently conducting a survey of the territory, inspecting the equipment, and assessing the impact after extinguishing the fire. At the same time, we are continuing work so that the center will soon be available to private clients as well,” says Ēriks Gusevs, Chairman of the Management Board of CleanR Verso.
The situation is also being assessed after the accident to improve safety protocols and reduce the risk of similar accidents in the future.
It should be noted that the Municipality of Ropaži, after reviewing the facts, has determined that administrative protocols have not been established for SIA CleanR Verso; therefore, on May 7, the local government apologized to the company for the previously inaccurate message and issued a correction to the media.
